Willow undertook on behalf of the hospital a project to reduce
energy costs for the Primary and Constant Heating pumps which
serves one of there ward wings up to 13 floors high, it was
to remove 8off existing Pullen pumps approx age of 15 years
to be replaced with Grundfos NBE 40 – 200 – 198
invertor driven and 4 No Grundfos NBE 65 –160 –
165 invertor driven pumps
By using the new Grundfos small motor with invertor allowed
us to pump the same amount of water at just over half of the
speed that the existing pumps were producing.
Due to this we are now monitoring other Primary and Heating
projects on other plant rooms in the hospital to reduce energy
costs even further.
